Louise, now managing a small motel in southern Mississippi, is a hospitality industry veteran of more than 30 years, managing numerous hotels and motels over the years. Louise had also been the Director of Marketing for Hospitality International, originally joining their operation in 1985. Louise is an avid blogger, both on a professional and recreational level. Her extensive travel throughout the U.S. and abroad, plus involvement with the hotel industry and military (as USO Director in Germany and working with the U.S. Army’s Special Services while in the Orient) enables her to blog on a variety of topics including travel and human interest stories. Louise, a mother of three and grandmother of six, is a ‘foodie’, loves to cook, garden, recycle and repurpose items into new found treasures and is an animal lover. “My greatest pleasure is in bringing a smile to both the young and old, and I do this when I become Santa Claus during the Christmas holidays, volunteering my services to bring a little joy.” Louise will be participating as a guest contributor.
Christine has always had a passion for travel, thereby defining her career course in the travel industry. After several years working behind the scenes as a travel agent, she took to the skies and enjoyed many adventures as a flight attendant for Trans World Airlines. Christine decided to hang up her wings when she entered the hospitality end of the industry, joining Hospitality International’s Marketing Department in 2006. This enabled Christine to utilize her skills and knowledge in the travel industry. She is currently Director of Marketing for Hospitality International. Although actively involved in daily challenges in the world of travel, she makes time to enjoy more kid friendly activities with her young son. This will also aid in her offering ideas and advice for family friendly travel adventures and beyond.
Misty joined Hospitality International’s Marketing Team in September of 2007 and is currentlyE-Commerce Marketing Manager. Misty acts as a liaison with various travel websites to ensure content is up to date and accurate. She also assist properties with group sales, guest relations and training support for online reservations. Before coming to work for Hospitality International, Misty worked in Marketing and Advertising with several casinos on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. She has multiple active licenses in the environmental field and in her spare time works closely with many government agencies, such as OSHA and the EPA, to make sure that our environment is protected. Ms. Maples enjoys spending time with her son, family and friends, traveling and enjoying the outdoors.
Jennifer is the Vice President of Color Visual Concepts, Inc., a full-service printing and digital media company, and operates their Central Texas branch. Jennifer is an ambassador for the Harker Heights Chamber of Commerce and serves on, or chairs multiple committees in her local area. Some of the committees are, but are not limited to, the Harker Heights Food and Wine Festival, Military Affairs Committee in Harker Heights, the Killeen Chamber of Commerce Membership and Mixer Committee as Co Mcee, the Networking Committee for Belton Chamber of Commerce and the Executive Committee for the Association of the United States Army (AUSA). Jennifer is an Altrusan and a Rotarian, which she acts the current secretary on the Board of Directors for the Harker Heights Rotary Club. Jennifer is also a part of the Young Professionals in Killeen.
After attending Penn State University, Sweeney began his career with Extended Stay America, where he worked his way from part-time Front Desk Clerk, to Assistant Manager. He then accepted a position with Marriott Hotels International, as an Operations Manager. With the growing need for a more Internet based marketing focus, HI created the position of Yield & Revenue Management Manager . Sweeney was well suited for this position with his operational experience from his tenure with Marriott and its various brands such as Townplace Suites, Residence Inn, and Fairfield Inn. He assumed this position in January 2008.
